"El Ojo de la Puerta" (Peephole) Exhibit Opens May 7, 2008

Ten images from my Peephole (El Ojo de la Puerta) series will be shown at PPPP Gallery, in Barranco, starting on May 7, 2008 (opening 7:30 p.m.). I'll also be showing a few new color photographs (very lage) and a series of b&w and solarized images from the "Fertility" series I did in the late 1990s. I'm hanging the show this morning, so later this day I'll be able to say exactly which pieces made it onto the walls.
Sharing the gallery space with me is fiber artist Cristina Colichon, who is presenting woven sculptures, "Trama."
Address for PPPP Gallery: Avenida Grau 810, Barranco.
The show is part of the weeklong "Semana del Arte Lima 2008" and the Wednesday "Gallery Nights Barranco" events. Other venues in Barranco that will be participating in Gallery Night include the Museo Pedro de Osma, MAC (Museo de Art Contemporaneo de Lima), Dedalo Galeria and Drama Centro de Art Contemporaneo.

Great stuff, but you knew that, didn't you? Strange to realize that these photos were taken just a month and a half after the 9/11 attacks. The party must go on, I suppose...

Terrific work! Never seen anything like it. The numbered series is sure to sell-out. Put me down for the 1st set.
